About Us

White Oak Farm Venue is a beautiful, one of a kind, serene 83 acres located on the outskirts of Michigan City Indiana.

White Oak Farm Venue is a stunning, one-of-a-kind property nestled on 83 acres of serene landscape just outside of Michigan City, Indiana. With expansive fields, tranquil woods, a peaceful pond, and a sloping meadow, the venue offers a picturesque setting for any occasion. Explore our scenic trails, take a stroll down the canopy-lined lane, and enjoy the abundant wildlife – all complemented by two beautiful barn venues, each offering its own charm.

In 2016, Greg and Rebecca Engstrom purchased this once-operational farm with a clear vision in mind. Greg and Rebecca both fell in love with the property for its uniqueness. With two homes, barns, outbuildings, and lush woodland, it was a place filled with character and potential. Though the property had been on the market for some time, potential buyers were mostly interested in either the farmland or the houses, but never the woods. Greg and Rebecca, however, saw the hidden gem it truly was — a perfect location to create a gathering place where family and friends could come together to celebrate life's special moments in the heart of nature.

The Beginning

This is where Greg and Rebecca began in creating White Oak Farm Venue. The idea was to rehab this barn, and after nearly two years, realized this was not feasible. The barn was disassembled and now you will find the wood in both the Cedar and Poplar Barn in the bar areas. This is where the Poplar Barn now sits.

The History

DATING BACK TO THE TURN OF THE CENTURY.

Harry Frey was the original owner of the property and a pillar of the community. He owned a local lumber company in Michigan City Indiana, and looks to have had more than just lumber. We found four scrapbooks full of newspaper clippings from the 1940’s, of what the lumber yard had to offer.
